Snaparo
Privacy policy
Draft. The structure and the claims below are correct, the exact phrasing is not final. Do not submit this URL to Google Play until this notice is gone, the [DATE] above is set and the permission list below is complete. Every claim here must still match the Data safety form in Play Console, word for word in meaning.
The short version
Snaparo collects nothing. There is no account, no sign in, and no server belonging to us. Your scans, the text recognised from them and the search index all stay in the app's private storage on your device. We have no way to see them.
| Information | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Your scans and documents | Stored in the app's private storage on the device. Never sent to us. |
| Recognised text and search index | Created on the device, stored on the device. Never sent to us. |
| Account details | None exist. The app has no account and asks for no email address. |
| Usage and analytics | Not collected. The app contains no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK. |
| Payment details | Handled by Google Play. We never see your card or billing address. |
Who we are
Snaparo is made by Diomo Enterprise S.R.L., trading as Diomo, a company registered in Romania (CUI 45514206, Reg. Com. J40/1066/2022, VAT RO45514206), with its registered office at Strada Învingătorilor, Nr. 9-11, Et. 2, Ap. 27, București, Sector 3. For anything in this policy, write to contact@diomo.app.
Where the GDPR applies, that company is the data controller. In practice there is very little to control, because the app sends us no personal data at all.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data through the Snaparo app. This is not a promise about how carefully we handle your data, it is a statement that your data never reaches us.
Specifically, the app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting that runs without your say so, no tracking pixel and no device fingerprinting.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Snaparo lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read:
- The images of the pages you scan.
- The text recognised from those pages.
- The search index built from that text.
- Your settings and preferences.
This data leaves the device only when you make it leave: when you share a document, print it, export it or save a backup. In each of those cases you choose the destination, and what happens after that is governed by whoever runs it, not by us. Uninstalling the app removes this data from the device, so export anything you want to keep first.
When the app uses the network
Snaparo works offline. It makes network requests in exactly two situations, and neither one carries your documents or the text in them.
Purchase validation, RevenueCat
When you buy premium or restore a previous purchase, the app asks RevenueCat to confirm the purchase with Google Play. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier for the installation and the purchase receipt. It does not receive your name, your email address, your scans or anything read off them. RevenueCat acts as our processor for this. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Text recognition components
The first time text recognition is needed, and when you add a language, the app downloads the Google ML Kit text recognition module or a Tesseract language pack. These are downloads to your phone. Nothing about your documents is sent in order to fetch them. Recognition itself then runs on the device, offline.
That is the complete list. If you put the phone in airplane mode after installing, everything except those two things keeps working.
Permissions
Snaparo asks for a permission when you first use the feature that needs it, never at launch, and every feature behaves sensibly if you say no.
- Camera. To scan a page. Images go straight into the app's own storage.
- [OTHER PERMISSION]. [WHAT IT IS FOR]
Payments
Premium is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment and we never see your card number, your billing address or your Google account details. What we can see is anonymous, aggregated sales figures in the Play Console. Google's handling of your payment is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Children
Snaparo is not directed at children. It also collects no data from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing about a child for us to hold or delete.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We hold no personal data about you, so in practice there is nothing for us to send you or delete. Your data is on your device, under your control: you can view, edit, export and delete it inside the app at any time.
If you believe we hold something about you, write to contact@diomo.app and we will answer within 30 days. In Romania the supervisory authority is the ANSPDCP.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It loads no fonts, scripts, images or anything else from a third party, so visiting it tells nobody but our host that you were here. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard server request data for delivery and security. We do not receive visitor level data from it and there is no visitor tracking to opt out of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous wording stops applying from that date. If a change ever meant the app started collecting something, we would say so plainly in the app before it happened, not quietly here.
